Cheryl Carty-Strachan, is an author, songwriter, speaker, and radio host with a passion for weaving truth, creativity, and faith into everything she creates. Whether through a story, a song, or an honest conversation, Cheryl desires to use what God has placed in her hands to encourage others, strengthen their faith, and ultimately transform lives.

Her debut children's book, Is God My Imaginary Friend?, began as a simple conversation with her four-year-old son and blossomed into a heartwarming story that invites children to explore their faith with curiosity and wonder. The book is available on Amazon and Kindle.

Cheryl holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. She began writing poetry at the age of ten as a quiet hobby, but motherhood rekindled her love for writing and gave new purpose to her creativity. In her own words, “It was time to follow my dreams.” She is currently working on her third book, continuing to bring together her love for storytelling and her passion for faith.

Cheryl also expresses her faith through music. She penned My Shepherd, performed by Tamyya J, and My Forgiveness, featuring Claromy Eliacin—worship songs born from her faith, personal reflections, and love for God.

Cheryl is also the host of Dear Journal, a Sunday radio program on Power of Worship Radio where she opens the pages of her own journey and invites listeners into honest conversations about faith, life, disappointment, hope, purpose, and what it means to trust God through it all. Through personal stories, biblical teaching, and music, Dear Journal creates a space for listeners to reflect, grow, and learn how to navigate life's difficult seasons with God.

Cheryl lives in North Carolina with her husband, Pastor Anton Strachan, and their two children, Anton Jr. and Arielle. Together, she and her husband serve in ministry through Power of Worship Radio, using media and ministry to share the message of Christ and impact lives through worship.
